Life changing read!

Gets to the heart of good leadership and how to be a great one.

I learned more about leadership from this book than in several years of management training and practice.

Its central premise is simple but profound, and humanly rather than academically inspired - that great leadership is a balance of human traits and humane practices and it is all about the people you are leading, not about you.

Sue writes is with authority, absolute clarity, elegance and no small amount of humour. If you only read one book about leadership make it this one.

Interesting and inspiring read

Easy and enjoyable read with lots of personal examples to highlight points so not just dry text. Found on reading I could match the good and poor points to my previous managers and this was why some were better to work for than others. The bit I now need to do is honestly reflect back on where and how I fitted in and demonstrated or didn’t the key elements. Useful to re read from time to time as a refresher to prevent complacency and drifting into poor habits. The points apply to outside a working environment. Would recommend
